Things you need to know

  • Your cover starts from the day you take up the plan with an immediate Accidental Death cover for you and your spouse
  • You cannot claim for natural death within 6 months and for suicide within 24 months
  • The plan will not pay out if death occurs as a result of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs
  • You may cancel the plan within 30 days from taking up the plan and we will refund your premium
  • The plan and all cover will end if you do not pay your premiums as agreed

To make a claim send the following documents to us at fnblifeclaims@fnb.co.za or call us on 087 736 7772:

  • Completed and signed Claim Form
  • Certified copy of the ID of the person making the claim and/or the beneficiary
  • To make a claim, submit your documents at any FNB or FSG branch.

Your time to earn more

You can earn up to 15% of your FNB Funeral Plan premiums back in eBucks. The percentage of premiums back in eBucks is calculated on your total monthly premiums and your eBucks reward level.

eBucks rules

Collect eBucks reward level points
You can earn eBucks on your FNB Funeral Plan if you meet the following requirements with a total minimum cover between all the lives insured (children will not count towards the required two lives insured and total cover amount):
- R50 000 on Gold
- R50 000 on Premier
- R70 000 on Private Clients
- R70 000 on Private Wealth 		1 reward level requirement 500 points

Qualifying criteria

  • You must be a qualifying eBucks member and be on an eBucks reward level.
  • You must be up to date with your FNB Funeral Plan's monthly premium payments. You will not qualify for premiums back in eBucks or related reward level points if we don't receive premiums for any reason.
  • Your premiums must be paid from an FNB Cheque account or RMB Private Bank account.
  • The percentage of your premiums back in eBucks each month depends upon your eBucks reward level.
  • The total premiums on which you earn a percentage back in eBucks, will be capped at a maximum of R7 000 each month for all your qualifying Policy and Plan premiums.
