Equities, bonds and money market instruments. FNB Botswana Custody will settle all on and off exchange transactions for clients, and has a highly secure backoffice system. Settlements of equities is facilitated by Central Securities Depository (CSD) through Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) in conjunction with Standard Chartered Bank (settlement bank) for all the custodians in Botswana.

Custody is the safekeeping and management of assets on behalf of clients. It involves custody clients instructing the bank to purchase or sell securities on its behalf, exercise options, and handle stock splits, dividends and other similar activities. Clients can also request a custodian to procure voting tickets, or act as proxy for the client at the annual general meetings.
